Dorothy has exhibited in juried exhibitions in Canada, the United States and England. Her paintings are in private and corporate collections around the world. Dorothy has received awards for her work. “The Pacific coast landscape is a never ending source of joy and inspiration for my paintings. Travels to Arizona and the surrounding desert have also been an inspiration. Roadsides, beaches, forests, mountains and the growing things just outside my studio window provide endless material and challenge. Often I try to capture the ‘essence’ rather than the ‘fact’ of these subjects from nature. Careful observation of rock surfaces, plants and land forms lead me to further experimentation as I work to translate harmony in nature into a visual statement,” says Dorothy. Michaela Davidson ...
